  About Heat Pump

   Working Principal

The Heat Pump utilizes worldwide proven technology to capture latent heat from the ambient air and transferring it to water as per requirement, i.e. pool heating, generating hot water, chilled water, and also simultaneously generating hot and chilled water for Air conditioning purpose.

This is done by utilizing minimum amount of electrical energy. In the Heat Pump, there is a eutectic fluid which has a low boiling point; since the boiling point is low it has a tendency to absorb heat from the atmosphere. This heat is upgraded by compression by a compressor. This hot fluid then passes through one side of the heat exchanger and water is passed through the other side of the heat exchanger; there water picks up heat and gets heated. The fluid after losing heat passes through another heat exchanger where water at ambient temperature enters; here the water losses heat and gets chilled generating chilled water, hence in this water-to-water Heat Pump you get hot & chilled water generated simultaneously at one energy cost.

In case of Air to Water Heat Pump, the fan in the Heat Pump draw large quantities of warm air through the evaporator coil that acts as heat collector. The fluid inside the evaporator coil absorbs the free latent heat from the drawn-in-air and transfers heat the same way as stated above.

Note:
For swimming pool heating it is necessary to cover the pool with a pool cover, when not in use.
This will prevent evaporation, the greatest heat loss, to a minimum, thus reducing the heating cost.

Types of Heat Pumps
Heat Pumps generating hot water :

Heat Pumps are also used in climates where water temperature is too low. Heat Pumps can heat water from 0ºc to 60ºc as per requirement / application.

Heat Pump generating Hot water & chilled water :

Heat Pump is a duel function unit, that fulfills both requirements of heating and cooling suitable for residential buildings, commercial buildings, swimming pools, hotels, hospitals and areas where ever hot water, chilled water, air conditioning and room heating is required.

Heat Pump generating Chilled water :
The commercial use i.e. replacement for water coolers, shower chiller in health clubs, and instantaneous chillers. This are used in climates where water temperature is unfavorably high.  Heat Pump for chilled water can cool water from whatever the ambient to 5ºc to 6ºc and also to minus temperature as required.
